Self-organization in in vivo and in vitro

The Japanese Society of Developmental Biology (JSDB) and the German Development Biology Association (GfE) have been closely collaborating and have held joint-society meetings twice in 2011 and 2017. Recently the first JSDB-GfE young scientist exchange meeting was held in Germany in October 2018 with the aim of promoting exchange and globalization of young researchers of both societies. This time, we will hold the 2nd meeting in May 2019 at Kyoto. We will ask young German researchers to visit Japan and present their research achievements during our workshop in Kyoto and annual meeting in Osaka, while providing them also with ample opportunities to meet with Japanese young researchers and learn about the activities of developmental biology research in Japan.

目的：日本発生生物学会（JSDB）とドイツ発生生物学会(GfE)はこれまでも密に連携し、２度の合同学会の開催を行ってきた。両団体の若手研究者の交流およびグローバル化を促進することを目標として、2018年10月にドイツにおいて第1回日独合同若手ミーティングを開催した。今回、2019年はドイツの若手研究者に日本の研究施設を訪問してもらい、日本の発生生物学研究の活動を広く知ってもらう機会に発展させていく。将来的には日本とドイツがハブとなったアジア-欧州ネットワークにより、国際的に活躍できる次世代のグローバル人材の排出に発程を目指す
